Missing Jack's Birthday

Well, thanks to Mother Nature, it looks like Dan and I will be missing Jackson's birthday this year. As of today, Thursday, there is no way to get in or out of Montesano. I-5 is closed, as are all 3 of the major mountain passes and 101 on the coast. The department of transportation said this morning that the rivers in Lewis County do not even crest until midnight tonight, so I-5 will likely be closed at least through the weekend.

From Christmas '08 part II

I'm just going to take this picture of Jackson and use Photohshop to make the present look like it has birthday wrapping paper instead of Candy Cane paper. I will also take out the Christmas tree and superimpose a picture of Dan and I there.

They are now allowing traffic on 108, which is the back road from Shelton to McCleary. Jaimie will likely have to drive over some water on 12 at Wynoochee, they are currently only allowing "police escorts" for cops and fireman (dispatchers too) going to work.

Lake Fitzmorris next door has receded from our yard, although they still have a large lake in the front. Crazy amount of rain here, upwards of 10 inches per day last two days.

As for photoshop, surprised Dan does not try to get the dogs into it too! Have faith the water will recede by SAT!

Well they are opening I5 at 1330 for cars. The water is receding here on the harbor. The highway to OLY is still closed, so mom and anyone else coming and going to and fro have to take the backroad to Shelton. But hey! ITS NOT RAINING NOW!

yes, please learn to play bagpipes before next Christmas! Kilts are optional-might be fun for rollin' cookies.
